Blessings in a Backpack Remembers Coach Denny Crum

We are sad to learn about the passing of former University of Louisville men’s basketball coach Denny Crum. He was a graciously kind human, incredibly talented coach, and a generous supporter of the Blessings in a Backpack Louisville Chapter.

We could always count on Coach Crum to play in our annual “Vegas in the Ville” fundraiser as one of our celebrity poker players. His participation was why so many attended; we are forever grateful for the funds he helped us raise to provide weekend food for children in Louisville who might otherwise go hungry.

L’s up, Coach. You’ll be missed.
