2022 PGA Championship Winner Justin Thomas Feeds Kids in His Hometown

PGA TOUR golfer Justin Thomas and his organization, the Justin Thomas Foundation, donated funds to feed an entire school through Blessings in a Backpack. More than 460 students at Camp Taylor Elementary in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, received weekend food during the 2022–2023 school year.

“I had kids coming to me crying because they were hungry on the weekends. We needed additional nutritional support for them,” Tiffany Bolling, family resource administrator at Camp Taylor, said. “We are truly blessed and very grateful for Justin Thomas and Blessings in a Backpack.”

Parents volunteer to pack the food so on Thursday after school, the Service Club can fill every locker with a ‘blessing.’ Amanda, a parent volunteer who oversees the program, said the kids are appreciative and positively affects the students and their families.

“As a professional athlete, I know the importance of eating healthy to achieve my goals and focus on the course that lies ahead,” Justin shared. “I’m happy to be able to support the kids in my hometown of Louisville, which holds a very special place in my heart.”
