We’re teaming up Racing Louisville FC for a food drive benefiting Blessings in a Backpack’s Louisville programs at Lynn Family Stadium! If you’re coming to the game on September 16 or September 17, bring canned soup with a pop-top lid, cereal, and shelf-stable milk to Gates 1 and 5.

September is here and it’s time for YOU to vote for Racing Louisville FC, Emina Ekic, and Blessings in a Backpack to win the Nationwide Impact Award fan vote.

Voting is simple — go to Twitter, use #NationwideImpactAward, and tag @RacingLouFC and @emina_ekic10 in the post! Your vote could help @blessinbackpack feed kids on the weekends!

The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and Nationwide are partnering to promote community partners and advance local service projects with the 2022 Nationwide Community Impact Program. This season-long, civically-focused initiative kicked off in July with appreciation games scheduled to recognize each club’s community partner during a home match. It will culminate in October during the 2022 NWSL Championship weekend, with one team/community partnership selected as the Nationwide Community Impact Award WINNER.

The winning community partner will receive a $25,000 donation from Nationwide to further their organization’s efforts. In addition, each participating community partner will receive a $5,000 grant.

“Giving back to the community is a foundational component of the NWSL, led by our exemplary players, fans, staff, and stakeholders,” said NWSL Commissioner Jessica Berman. “We saw incredible participation and excitement around last year’s Nationwide Community Impact Program from all of our clubs and fans, and we’re excited to build on that this season.”

“It was great to see the teams and player ambassadors embrace this platform in its first year and engage fans with unique community partnerships,” said Ramon Jones, Nationwide’s chief marketing officer. “Nationwide looks forward to continuing its support and promotion of the many important causes that will be highlighted by each club this year.”

About the award: The Nationwide Community Impact Award is a season-long, civically-focused initiative that promotes community and local service projects chosen and led by each NWSL team. As part of the league-wide initiative, each team has partnered with Nationwide to select one season-long community partner. Each community organization will receive a grant to support its program and serve as the focus of a team-led service project, with a designated player ambassador to champion the effort.
