Blessings in a Backpack Louisville Chapter Golf Scramble

Grab your clubs and join us for a day of golf and fun as we raise money to feed kids on the weekend! Built in 1952, Wildwood Country Club’s course is surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and old trees, assuring an unforgettable 18 holes.

You’ll experience contests and games throughout the course and on the golf simulator for your chance to win prizes, or at least bragging rights! Afterwords you can relax during the post event reception while enjoying a cold beverage, appetizers and perusing the fabulous silent auction items.

This year will be extra special as we welcome members of the special forces unit known as the “Horse Soldiers” who rode into Afghanistan on horseback to carry out an impossible mission during the early days after 9/11.  After leaving military life some of the men from this unit started Horse Soldier Bourbon. They will join us to tell their story, answer questions and of course, share their award winning bourbon. The story of their courageous mission was recently told in the Warner Bros. movie, “12 Strong”.
