Doctors for Healthy Communities Donates to Louisville Chapter

Doctors for Healthy Communities dropped by Camp Taylor Elementary School to present a donation to Blessings in a Backpack. The gift will help provide hunger-free weekends for 75 kids this school year.

More than 60,000 students who attend Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) are food-insecure and would benefit from the Blessings program. We’re thankful for the support of Doctors for Healthy Communities, JCPS Superintendent Dr. Marty Polio, and Mayor Greg Fischer in helping us feed more than 5,000 kids in Louisville on the weekends.
